Siddhartha Gautama son of the king of the Shakya tribe, lived a prosperous life until the age of 29. married and father of a son. His perception of life got changed when he run into an old fellow, a sick, a dead man, and an ascetic. Gautama realized the aspects of life that no wealth could prevent him from suffering. That is when he relinquishes the royal life and left in search of illumination. Which he found under a Bodhi tree near Bodh Gaya, at 35 through deep meditation and concentration. Spent the rest of his life, teaching others about the founding and path to attain it.
Teaching Buddha is widely known as Dharma chakra Buddha, where Dharma stands for “Righteousness” and chakra means the “universe” denotes the universal righteousness order. The teaching Buddha mudra has nonverbal gestural communication. The Buddha is seen sitting on a lotus pedestal, the lotus represents the hardship and how to grow from a dirty environment. Conveying a message that humans too have the potential to overcome suffering and able to achieve enlightenment. His right hand is held near the chest, palm outward denoting his teachings coming right from the heart, forming a circle with the index and thumb representing the wheel of dharma. Left hand resting on the lap, palm upward also forming the same circle with the fingers.
