Description
Lord Ganesha is the eldest son of Lord Shiva and goddess Parvati and is the head of the gods. He is god of the beginning and the remover of obstacles; he is the embodiment of humbleness, bravery, knowledge, courage, kindness and patience. Here the lord is carved out of soapstone and is presented sitting on a platform with his one leg pointing towards the ground and other resting on the platform. Here the elephant headed deity is having four hands, two of which bears weapons to tame wild elephant, a mace and a noose. With his other hand he bears the reward of leading a righteous and courteous life and with his fourth hand he blesses his devotees with success and boon.
